Amanda’s passion for working towards her own happiness has fueled her path in helping others find their joy through doing this work. She understands reflecting on yourself in this way is not easy because she has been working relentlessly on herself for many years.
Amanda’s journey of looking at herself truly started in 2007 after attending a profound weeklong advanced hypnosis training. Although this was out of her comfort zone in every way imaginable, she was drawn to understanding how the mind works so that she could better deal with the hardships of her life. Amanda spent the following years immersed in the love and light community. Learning different healing modalities from becoming a massage therapist and a reiki practitioner, to reading and watching videos, attending seminars, and using visualization techniques to create the life she had always wanted. This worked in many ways but looking back it was more like a band aid. Amanda would still experience anger and triggers that would abruptly shift her out of her “toxic positivity”. This became more apparent in 2019 when she came across Find the Light and the work of Rebecca Barron, who would soon become her guide and mentor, to self-healing. Ironically, back in 2007, the goal was to learn hypnosis to cover up and avoid the painful experiences in her life. What she was about to learn is that avoiding the processing of her emotions and not expressing her feelings was what kept the pain alive. For the last several years Amanda has been completely dedicated to understanding herself and her triggers, so that they no longer have control over her. Now Amanda is starting a new chapter that will include her offering her skillset to help others on the same path to self-discovery. Living your authentic life doesn’t mean everything will always be perfect but instead you will be true to yourself, your feelings, and allowing your genuine self to shine.
